The Mandel School Student Services team provides ongoing connection and support from a student’s first day at (or admission to) the Mandel School through graduation. Each student is paired with a dedicated Student Advancement Specialist (SAS), who serves as a guide, advocate, and resource throughout the academic journey of social work and nonprofit management students. We are one of the few schools of social work that have this added layer of dedicated student support.
Student Services offers personalized check-ins and student-centered programming, including:
- Orientation
- Academic Advising
- Career planning
- State Licensure
- Skill-building workshops:
- View previous events on our

Student Services also collaborates with Field Faculty Advisors, faculty and other support staff to integrate academics, fieldwork, and personal development for student success.
