Hannah Zacharia spent her spring semester as a Mann Child Policy Extern at University Hospitals Rainbow Center for Child Health and Policy, an organization focused on improving child health outcomes and advancing equity through research and advocacy. During her externship, Hannah contributed to key projects including Community Voices on Vaccines (CVV), KIDS Rainbow, and TEENLINK. Her work involved survey design, literature reviews, participant recruitment, and supporting community-based focus groups exploring vaccine hesitancy among teens.
Her experience strengthened her understanding of the connections between health policy, communication, and community engagement鈥攊nsights she plans to carry into her future as a physician committed to public health and equity.
