CCIR trainee receives NIH Predoctoral Fellowship Award
May 23, 2025Thomas DeSilvio, a fifth-year PhD student in the lab of Satish Viswanath, PhD, received the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA for Individual Predoctoral Fellowship (F31) to support his PhD research in developing and validating an MRI-based AI tool to identify which patients respond to total neoadjuvant therapy in rectal cancers.
CCIR trainee receives NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Award
May 23, 2025Madison Albert, first-year PhD student in the lab of Will Grissom, PhD, recently received the highly-competitive NSF GRFP award for research on modeling and optimizing RF pulses for MRI. Her work aims to improve diagnostic image quality and support MRI guided interventions by optimizing these inputs to the MRI system.

Finalist for ISMRM Young Investigator Awards
May 20, 2025Yuran Zhu, PhD, a recent BME graduate from Dr. Xin Yu鈥檚 lab, has been selected as a finalist in this year鈥檚 ISMRM Young Investigator Awards competition for her work on 3D MR Fingerprinting for Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Imaging of the Whole Mouse Brain. Dr. Zhu presented the work at ISMRM in Honolulu.
