As the Director of Finance for Student Affairs and the Provost, Rasmussen oversees the finance area within the Provost Area. He and his team support all the departments under the Office of the Provost in the areas of budget, forecasting, procurement, travel, sponsored projects and other financial matters. He also oversees the financial activities of all student groups, along with advising the Student Allocations Committee.

Prior to his being in his current role, he has served as the Associate Director of Housing at CWRU.  He has worked at the following schools: Oberlin College, Northern Kentucky, The College of New Jersey, Kansas State University, along with a couple positions in the corporate world.
