Third-year law students Naomi Gahyun Kim and Rachel Lamparelli had outstanding experiences in their capstone externships. 365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç±­ the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) Public Health Law Program, Kim focused on state vaccination laws and researched the constitutional and civil rights implications of potential vaccine mandates. 365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç±­ the Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Ohio, Lamparelli analyzed the scope of a brand new Ohio law that exempts individuals with serious mental illness from the death penalty and helped assess how defense attorneys can best utilize the statute.
