Case Western Reserve University nursing students start clinicals in their first semester and log over 1,000 hours before they graduate鈥攏early double the national average.
And they still have time to study abroad.
CWRU offers two week-long study abroad programs specifically for Bachelor of Science in Nursing students. During spring break, you can spend the week in Taiwan. After the spring semester ends, you can study in Ireland.
鈻 While in Taiwan, students gain firsthand experience in Taipei, where they visit hospitals and community centers. They attend lectures on healthcare practices in Taiwan, community care, the use of innovative technologies in elder care and Chinese medicine. Students also visit historic and cultural sites, such as the National Palace Museum.
鈻 In Ireland [pictured here], students visit healthcare facilities in Tralee, County Kerry, in the southwest part of Ireland, where they have the opportunity for hands-on learning. They explore the impacts on health, social and environmental issues due to the risks of rising sea levels and flooding in the Tralee area. Students also visit historic and cultural sites, such as the Cliffs of Moher.
