What to Expect
You鈥檒l start your degree with core courses in theoretical statistics, data analysis and linear models, then transition to electives on a topic of your choice鈥攁dding up to at least 30 credit hours to complete your degree. Your degree culminates with either an applied research project or a thesis鈥攂ut no matter what, you鈥檒l work closely with a faculty mentor to produce work that鈥檚 ready for publication. If your goal is to teach or to do research, you have the option to apply for a graduate assistantship.
In addition to the traditional degree program, we also offer an entrepreneurial track in partnership with . This degree gives you real-world business savvy through opportunities such as an intensive one-week workshop that covers the industrial use of statistics from the management perspective.
