What to Expect
With guidance from your dedicated program director, you can make this program your own鈥攚hether you need to retake undergraduate courses to boost your GPA or go for more challenging graduate coursework to show MD or DO programs what you鈥檝e got. In addition to your program director, you鈥檒l have an Inquiry (IQ) team. This student-directed, small group style of learning is all about collaboration, developing your skills and knowledge through projects as well as self-reflection.
Case Western Reserve鈥檚 PRIME program is targeted toward two types of students: those who want to enhance their academics and those who want to change careers. Depending on the courses you鈥檝e completed in the past and your goals, this certificate can take up to two years, but it can be done in as little as one.
Your classes might include organic chemistry, general psychology or others along the same vein鈥攅ven genes, evolution and ecology. You鈥檒l also have the option to go through a Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) prep course.
