What to Expect
In about three years (if you choose to study full time), you鈥檒l take courses in everything from the History and Philosophy of Public Health to Psychosocial and Spiritual Dimensions of Advanced Nursing Practice.
Beyond your core public health courses鈥攁 comprehensive curriculum including classes such as 鈥淓pidemiology,鈥� 鈥淗ealth Management and Policy,鈥� 鈥淓nvironmental and Occupational Health,鈥� and a service-based capstone鈥攜ou鈥檒l choose electives to round out your knowledge.
And within nursing, where many of your classes will be in an intensive format to fit your busy schedule, you鈥檒l choose from one of nine majors to specialize your studies:

- Family Nurse Practitioner

- Women鈥檚 Health Nurse Practitioner
No matter which classes or major you choose, you鈥檒l learn from faculty renowned in their fields, including medicine, nursing, dentistry, law, anthropology, bioethics, health policy and social work. Plus, you鈥檒l take some classes at our Health Education Campus with Cleveland Clinic, where you鈥檒l practice what we call interprofessional education鈥攏ursing, medical, dental and social work students working and learning as a healthcare team from day one.
