What to Expect

Choose one of three program options that best suits your needs: accelerated MS, professional MS or research MS.

In the one-year accelerated program, you’ll focus on data science and analytics—other in-demand disciplines that mesh well with materials science and engineering to help you develop your ability to interpret statistically significant relationships in materials structures. The flexible, part-time professional MS track allows you to continue your job while you pursue your education. You’ll choose a capstone project on a topic of your choice, which could even apply to your current job. And in the research MS, you’ll focus on growing your portfolio through conducting a pertinent research project and thesis, attending scientific conferences to present your work, and taking full advantage of all the on and around campus.

No matter what you choose, you’ll be sure to learn both fundamentals and leading-edge skills, from additive manufacturing to failure analysis and beyond.
