Our laboratory courses provide experience at the bench in recombinant protein production, mammalian cell culture, molecular and cell biology, and mass spectrometry, while our classroom courses cover experimental design, documentation of experiments, and professional skills, as well as biochemistry and molecular biology.
Looking to further specialize your studies? We offer stand-out classes such as Molecular Biology and Biochemical Techniques, a two-credit-hour hands-on lab course focused on protein overexpression, purification and characterization together with site-directed mutagenesis. We also offer a one-credit-hour lecture/discussion course on biotechnology, in which we focus on the skills and attributes required in biotech/pharma while regularly hearing from guest speakers from industry.
