What to Expect
You must apply and be accepted to the MD and MA programs separately, but this process can take place concurrently. If you鈥檙e a medical school student, you can apply to the master鈥檚 degree program before the start of the fall semester of your first year.
Then, while in medical school you鈥檒l work with your advisor to lay out your master鈥檚 degree schedule. You can choose electives based on your interests鈥攚hether that鈥檚 mental illness and bioethics, international bioethics or neuroethics.
Once you鈥檙e here, you'll study in our state-of-the-future with Cleveland Clinic, where you'll learn alongside nursing, dental and physician assistant students. This approach, called interprofessional education, is a hallmark of our MD program鈥攄esigned to prepare you for the team-based healthcare system in which you'll practice in the real world.
